The Humanitarian Coalition and its member agencies are closely monitoring the situation in Ecuador as residents recove from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook the country on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Our member agencies are preparing to respond and will conduct assessments to determine the most pressing needs.

The earthquake, the largest to hit Ecuador since 1979, has claimed more than 200 lives and injured more than 1,000 people.Many buildings collapsed leaving many people still missing.
