The Humanitarian Coalition is proud to support the Radcliffe Foundation, which, in collaboration with the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), launched a $20,000 prize for a short form ‘call-to-action’ film that inspires and engages Canadians to take action on the global refugee crisis.

The Humanitarian Coalition is honoured to join Islamic Relief Canada, the country’s biggest Muslim charity, to mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Islamic Relief, as part of its commitment to World Refugee Day, is launching a campaign encouraging Canadian Muslims to donate towards the global refugee crisis.

Thanks to the Canadian Humanitarian Assistance Fund, Humanitarian Coalition members CARE Canada and Plan International Canada were able to assist impacted individuals and communities with timely emergency relief aid following the devastating earthquake that hit Ecuador on April 16.

The Humanitarian Coalition announced that CARE Canada will use $400,000 from the Canadian Humanitarian Assistance Fund (CHAF) to help people recently affected by the earthquake in Ecuador.
