The campaign consolidated and expedited the Canadian relief effort and represents a significant milestone in Canada. It was the first time that Canadians were able to respond to a major humanitarian crisis in a single and unified voice. With your generous donations, the members of the Humanitarian Coalition were able to help nearly 450,000 people affected by the earthquake. Hygiene kits, winter clothes, blankets, tents, food and water were delivered to those in the greatest need. Schools have been rebuilt and many were renovated to allow for winter shelter.
