The Humanitarian Coalition's Board of Directors today announced the appointment of Tiffany Baggetta as the new Executive Director of the Humanitarian Coalition following a thorough executive search process.
"We are very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director, Tiffany Baggetta. We are sure that her leadership will strengthen our ability to act quickly and effectively for communities in crisis around the world, and we are confident she will guide the Humanitarian Coalition forward with purpose and clarity," said the Humanitarian Coalition's Board of Directors Co-Chairs, Lauren Ravon (Executive Director, Oxfam Canada) and Andy Harrington (Executive Director, Canadian Foodgrains Bank).
"I'm excited and energized to move into this role as the sector faces today's overwhelming challenges and to work with our team and our members to find innovative ways to frame our work, fund our life-saving humanitarian programs, and engage with Canadians and decision-makers on our shared commitment to humanitarian response," said Baggetta.
Tiffany has held the position of Interim Executive Director at the Humanitarian Coalition for the last several months, and prior to that was the organization's Director of Marketing, Communications and Partnerships. She brings 20 years of experience in the humanitarian and international development sector, including 15 years in management and leadership roles across communications, marketing, brand and fundraising.
Before joining the Humanitarian Coalition, Tiffany served as Head of Communications, Media, and PR at Save the Children, leading all communications and media outreach during major humanitarian crises. Prior to this, Tiffany was Director of Communications and Brand at UNICEF Canada, where she led humanitarian responses, additionally she held a series of roles at World Vision Canada. As a values-driven leader, Tiffany has a long history of building trust and forging new partnerships to advance the positions of organizations in the humanitarian sector, while addressing the critical need to decolonize their activities and shift the narrative for Canadians around humanitarian response and development programming.
